Thanks to a generous grant from Ameriprise Financial , the Boys & Girls Club of Hawthorne implemented Boys & Girls Clubs of America's Money Matters program to 85 middle school and teen members during the period of January - August of 2007.

Money Matters is a financial education program in which participants were instructed on saving and budgeting, investing, check writing, setting short and long tem goals, spending wisely and paying for college.
